Cercis DslrStar PLUS camera astrophotography control system is designed to provide an integrated astrophotography solution. It allows complex exposure control and telescope focus automation, without the need for a computer - greatly simplifying your astrophotography setup.
It is the first system to allow fully automated focusing using DSLR camera preview or live view feature - simply connect DslrStarPLUS to any DLSR camera with a video output and bulb connection. The controller stores exposure information (time, temperature and type) for fully automatic dark sequences.
Also, DslrStarPLUS includes a full-function telescope stepper motor controlled focusing system - which includes named presets, temperature compensation, and manual or automated focusing. For mounting the stepper motor to the telescope, Cercis Astro offers a variety of motor brackets. The standard stepper motor - used also with FocusStarPRO - is 3600 steps per revolution, with a DIN connector interface. Other stepper motors with DB9 interface may be used also - see Ordering Information. DslrStar has ~5" X 3" X 1" sturdy ABS case, with AC transformer for power, USB cable, and integrated motor/bulb cable. Optional automotive jack or N3-type (for Canon EOS cameras) bulb cables are offered, as well as protective rubber holster.A full-function WindowsR control program for Canon DSLR cameras and ASCOM drivers will be downloadable from Cercis Astro website - check for announced release.
