The features of DslrStar bring many of the benefits of CCD cameras, costing many times more, to the users of DSLR cameras. DslrStar gives you the flexibility to work in a standalone mode without the use of a computer, or to have the enhanced capabilities - such as focus assist, with remote computer control of your DSLR camera. It gives you the ability to automatically take dark exposures to match the exact temperature of your original images, all on a cloudy night while you sleep.

Cercis Astro announces FocusStar - digital Telescope focuser. The FocusStar Controller is a compact, easy-to-use, dedicated accessory - for use standalone or computer controlled via a USB interface. It has 4-digit LED readout, dual stepper motor outputs, 9 user-assigned focus preset positions, and optional temperature sensor.

The FocusStar inclues a full-function Windows control program with ASCOM drivers. The motor is mounted to the telescope with a bracket (chose to fit the telescope type).
FocusStar - in a 4.7" X 3.7" X 1.3" sturdy metal case - is supplied with AC power transformer, USB cable, software CD and one motor assembly. Options are: second motor (for auto-guder camera focus), longer motor cable, temperature sensor or telescope brackets. Refer to FocusStar Ordering Information.
